The best is yet to come

The ISO of this photo is 3200. The shutter speed was 1/25 second and F-Stop was 22. The vertical lines in this photo made by the locker doors create a mood of fear and danger. I have contrasted that using the horizontal lines created by the locker handle lead to the model who is standing in the light. This contrasts the tension and creates this sense of hope in the photo. Many grade 12s are worried for post secondary this year and this photo depicts the current tension and how in the future, time will help solve the problems and issues going on at the moment. The model in this photo signifies that there is always going to be someone to help you and encourage you to do your best no matter what the difficulty or situation.

  1. I love how you were able to get the lockers to act like a leading line to the doorway. The fact that the door is open and their is a person standing in the doorway brings a lot more attention to the subject compared to if it were to be closed. I believe if you were to take the picture one locker ahead it would have looked much nicer because the broken locker would not be in frame.

  2. Loved the use of horizontal lines the lockers create in the photo as it helps to focus on the individual in the photo. Also liked how the light coming through door helps to create contrast from the dimly lit hall. I think if you focus more on the light coming through the door then it would help the viewer focus more on the contrast within the photo.
