When will my reflection shoooooooooooow? (Mulan 1998)

This photo was taken on a cool morning, outside, with the sun breaking through the cloud on the horizon, providing a bit of light and warmth. The snow is melting, creating clear puddles all across the rough roads surrounding our school, resulting in the light refracting off the puddles allowing us to take these interesting shots. Despite the obvious building and c can in the water, looking closer you can see the reflection of the clouds within the water. It’s a detail you’ll most likely miss in your original viewing, which makes it more entertaining and pleasing when you finally notice it. With a shot of 1/60 sec. f/16 28mm  and an ISO of 200 to more let more light into the shot me and my photography buddy captured this mirrored shot, using the combinations of the elements, and further pushing the coolness of the setting in photoshop.

  1. I really enjoyed the symmetry in the picture and the stillness of the water. It creates a very peaceful image. I also like the transitioning g shades of the water as it travels from dark to light. You used the rule of thirds well, capturing the 2 thirds of the picture as the mirroring water and the last third as the real picture. I think that it would be better if the background was overall more interesting and it had a little less going on. great picture.
